  3. Chicago History of Stepping Venues/

Chicago Stepping venues come to life with the stories that people tell about what happened to them there. These places are integral to the moments in time that make us. Places and spaces we’ve been.

Stories of the Venues

The clubs, lounges, and dance halls where steppers would go are sentimental records of a stepping good time. The stepper sets are where some husbands and wives meet, or where families and friendships start. This list was rescued from Markie Bee’s (RIP) website, SteppersHistory.org and updated. Take a trip down memory lane.

The Dungeon. Stories from the people from the Dungeon created by DJ Markee G. Follow him on Facebook for more Tales from the Dungeon.
