It is time to celebrate the women that are steppers. In the last month, I have been very excited about the growth in readership for livingthe8count.com. I am enjoying and the feedback from readers. Thank you. My goal is to keep this a platform with purposeful information. Posts should help others in their steppin’ journey. Let’s talk about women.

Every year we designate March as Women’s History Month to honor women’s contributions to history. Steppers have a rich history colored with the stories of many women. Women have made great contributions to this community and had great influence and impact in steppin’. I enjoy seeking out and telling untold stories. And, livingthe8count.com will participate in celebrating and honoring Women’s History month. The blog will feature some of the women that I’ve met in the steppin’ community.

I hope that amidst the panic and surprise, we can still appreciate each other, love the music, step, and stay positive. I have postponed some posts because I didn’t think anyone is paying much attention to anything but the coronavirus. However, I think it is equally important and necessary to talk about the “positive” people. Focus on the things in our community around us because life goes on in many other ways.

My first feature for Women’s month will be next Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
